Led by Artisans Group’s senior interior designer Lauren Rodriguez, our design team at Sparrow Interiors uses thoughtful space planning and exquisite, richly layered finish design to create vibrant and distinctive spaces. We do not design to trends. Instead, our designs honor the architectural language of each space as well as the surrounding environment. The spaces we are honored to design are, at once, beautiful, functional, and timeless.
Our work is informed and influenced by historic styles and by classic materials and architectural techniques. We’re continually inspired by archetypal textiles, art, carpentry, and metalwork. Enduring elements, from any era, always have a place in contemporary design. The core of our work, however, is based on something even deeper than our design expertise: the relationships we have with our clients and with their spaces. We believe that the most compelling and successful designs not only improve the lives and experiences of our clients but reflect who they are at their absolute best.
Meet Our Senior Interior Designer
I’m Lauren Rodriguez and I’m delighted to bring my interior design expertise to Artisans Group. In 2018, I founded Sparrow Design Company, an award-winning full-service interior design studio, where I served as principal designer for 6 years until joining Artisans Group. As senior interior designer, I am continuing my passion and dedication to offering our clients high-touch and highly custom full-service interior design.
I approach each project and every design concept with total curiosity and a commitment to beauty as well as to function. Our designs are guided by three influences: the space itself, our clients' needs and style preferences, and our design sensibilities and knowledge. It’s an honor to work hand-in-hand with this spectacular women-led architecture firm to make magic from concept to completion. I look forward to working with you.
What We Do
Sparrow Interiors provides a wide range of services, from full-service interior design on new builds and remodeling projects to one-on-one remote design consultations. We believe homes, workspaces, and gathering spaces should feel accessible, intimate — and totally spectacular. Sparrow designs strong, sophisticated, and joyful spaces that stand the test of time because they favor uniqueness and quality over trend. In homes and in public, we know how to design spaces that are welcoming and comfort-driven but also elevated, poetic, and extraordinary.
Full-Service Interior Architecture + Design
A comprehensive and robust service offering, full-service interior architecture and design is Sparrow's core offering for remodel or new build design. Our team handles all aspects of the interior design process, from conceptualization through design management during construction, culminating in the procurement and installation of furniture and accessories. Our interior designers work closely with Artisans Group’s architects and planners when the project calls for structural design, additions, roofline changes, new or remodeled exterior concepts, and permitting support. This offering includes:
- Fundamental and aesthetic design or redesign of a space
- 2D and 3D planning and visualization
- Sourcing and design of all finishes
- Custom design of hard finishes, soft goods, casework, lighting, wall installations, and art
- Furniture and accessory sourcing, procurement, storage and styling
- Observation of construction and design management through close collaboration with your contractor
Full-Service Styling
Furniture and accessories have a significant impact on the look and experience of any space. For a profound transformation without major construction, we provide full-service furniture planning, selection and styling. Our team manages the style execution, from concept through installation; we procure, track, receive, inspect, handle claims, manage storage and transport, and install and style everything. This offering includes:
- Space planning tailored to your needs and optimal use of each space
- Fundamental design or redesign of furniture layouts
- Some light renovation elements, such as wall treatments, new millwork, plumbing trim (faucets, etc.), or new lighting
- Design, customization, and procurement of furnishings and accessories (art, rugs, lamps, window treatments, and other styling elements)
Sparrow Interiors' Design Packages
Style-A-Room: Residential Furniture Consultation
For residential clients, we assign a designer to you to help you with layouts and selection of furniture and key accessories. Your designer will:
- Define the style of each room within the context of your whole home
- Create shoppable material boards and product lists
- Provide layout options for your room or room(s)
An accessible way to heighten the style of your home and create an elegant room or two, this is a budget friendly and remote package. Rather than coming onsite, we use virtual tools such as video call, Pinterest, and digital mood boards to efficiently and effectively deliver a beautiful design package to you. We ask you to take photos and measurements and handle product sampling and ordering. This package does not include remodel advising.
Cost: $1,800 per standard room. Package can include up to three rooms; special pricing on large or multi-use spaces or open concepts areas of a home.
Pick A Designer’s Brain: Residential + Commercial Design Consultation
A consultation package for home and business owners, which provides access to a Sparrow designer for a limited time to support the design phase of a build or remodel. We shrink the universe of finish options and put together confident concepts to help ensure an elevated outcome. Your designer will:
- Recommend finishes such as tile, countertop, paint, wallpaper, lighting, flooring, plumbing trim, as well as furniture and accessories
- Review existing plans to provide feedback or make suggestions
- Support with custom window treatments and furniture you're working on
This package is consultative only. If you are building or remodeling, we are generally able to review your existing plans and offer guidance and recommendations to discuss with your contractor or product fabricator. With this package, Sparrow does not create remodel or custom design plans or work directly with contractors or fabricators. For that kind of support, we invite you to consider full-service design or styling. Hiring one of our designers as a partner during the design phase of your upcoming build or remodel will give you the support you need to create a refined, bespoke space.
This is an hourly service offering commensurate with the scope of work requested. Minimum is 10 hours to hire Sparrow, which may be used for 30 days. Additional hours may be added with no cap, however the total maximum time those hours may be used on each project is 60 days.
