Madrona Haus
Madrona Haus is nestled into a narrow, steep site, this Japanese inspired Passive House takes in expansive views of the Puget Sound. Heavily integrated into the site with a strong concrete spine to organize the design but also employing a light, whimsical element of a cantilever framing the water view. This surprisingly compact home incorporates aging in place concepts with its main floor loft style living, and a daylight basement guest space that can be integrated or split from the main residence. Floor to ceiling glass, a peace pond, courtyard entry, and clean lines, complement a naturally rich pallet of materials.
