As our Passive House portfolio continues to grow in the Seattle market, our roots deepen as Olympia's Passive House and remodeling specialists. We have three Passive House projects actively under construction in the Olympia area right now.
One of these projects is the Sparrow Haus, a Pocket Home being built on one of the last lots remaining in a beautiful and peaceful mid century modern enclave, Ken Lake. This 1700 square-foot super energy efficient home is designed with simplicity in mind. In many ways will be brilliantly high value for the money. Although the heavily wooded area is too shady for the project to be certified, this house is modeled and is very close to the Passive House Standard, making it incredibly comfortable and healthy for all those who inhabit it. The project is moving along smoothly. We are at the stage where we have passed our blower door test with flying colors and are now preparing the rain screen for the siding. As soon as the windows arrive both the siding and the sheet rock will get installed. The project is slated to be complete the end of March.
Remodeling Specialists
In a recent meeting with the clients, we asked them about how they felt the project was going and how it was to work with our production manager Dave and the lead Carpenter, Lars. They replied, "We feel really comfortable with them, and our project seems to be going well. We are very pleased."
The house was designed not only to fit the context of the mid century neighborhood but to accommodate the clients large collection of mid century Danish furniture as well. With this beautiful home as a backdrop we can't wait to see the clients collection highlighted and their dreams made into reality.
