We’re delighted to announce that Lauren Rodriguez is bringing her interior design expertise, keen eye, and picture-perfect skills to our new, exclusive interior design studio, Sparrow Interiors, a studio of Artisans Group Architecture + Planning.
The studio is named for Lauren’s former interior design studio, Sparrow Design Company, and will follow the path she created when she founded that business in 2018.
Since then, she has worked with clients across the region to create vibrant, distinctive spaces through thoughtful space planning and exquisite finish design. She’s experienced in full-service build and remodel design, furniture sourcing and installation, and design consultation, services she will continue to offer under Artisans Group.
Lauren is certified in kitchen and bath design and has both formal training in and a deep self-taught knowledge of and passion for interiors. Born in New Orleans, raised in Dallas, Lauren has lived in many other places, including Austin and Chicago. She’s been in the Pacific Northwest since 2007. Lauren approaches interior design with reverence for the styles and influences of the many places she’s lived and traveled.
Lauren loves to combine the simple with the embellished, and the contemporary with the found or antique. She isn’t afraid to employ any and all styles, from transitional to midcentury to traditional. Her approach depends on the architecture of the space she’s working on;along with the client and designer, she believes the space itself is the third voice in the interior design process. . Her spaces feel authentically curated and completely individual.
The addition of Sparrow to the Artisans Group rounds out our already incredible team. We’re proud to say that the most talented interior designer in our area is now under the Artisans umbrella.

With Lauren and our interiors team, you’ll get highly curated interior design, from finish design through soft goods, combined with expert architectural design, planning, and permitting support — under one roof. Our clients can expect richly layered and highly individualized interiors along with beautiful furniture and accessories procurement and superior finish styling that highlights the architecture and style of each space.
As architects, we’ve never considered a thoughtfully designed interior, including its furnishings, to be an afterthought. It’s as much a part of the built environment as transoms and arches; it’s the crucial final phase of making any structure a pleasing, functional, livable place to be. We’re delighted to be able to offer full-service design, from planning and architecture to the last drape hung and styled.
