Johnson Point House

What initially began as a remodel, evolved into a design for a new home on a beautiful piece of waterfront property. The Johnson Point Residence pushes the envelope of the remodel process by retaining the original footprint, while maximizing the potential for enjoyment of the expansive views and access to the outdoors with a desire to honor the spirit of the existing home. Extensive family gatherings and entertaining are the inspiration for the impressive kitchen and inviting dining and living spaces. A dramatic spiraling staircase connects the upper level of the home with the lower level bar, game rooms and outdoor kitchen.

Timber framing, large scale detailing, and natural materials mark the home as an undeniable representation of the vernacular of the Pacific Northwest. Though it is a familiar design language, the residence succeeds in a singular expression with a marriage of elegant traditional and contemporary detailing. Every room in the home is an expression of the clients unique vision.
