Come join us October 3rd, 2009, for the Olympia Solar Tour of Homes. For the second year running, The Artisans Group is proud to participate in this event. This year we’ll have two stops on the tour to showcase some of the latest solar technologies that work well in our region.
The Olympia Solar Tour of Homes is part of the American Solar Energy Society’s (ASES) National Solar Tour program; our local tour is held annually on the first Saturday in October, to kick off National Energy Awareness Month. On the tour you’ll find real world solar applications, you’ll learn from folks that use solar technology on a daily basis, learn about associated costs and energy off-sets from grid produced power, as well as how federal, state and local incentives will help you save money, for your own project.
Swing by our offices on the tour, we’ll have Schüco USA products on display. Schüco USA is a manufacturer of high quality photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. We will demonstrate different approaches to implementing solar technology and what it could mean for your particular situation.
Our second tour feature this year is the Newsom Project. We completed an extensive remodel to this dynamic west side home in 2008. Here you’ll be able to see how the homeowner integrates the power of 16 photovoltaic panels and a 32 square foot solar thermal collector into their daily living.
With 15 participants in this year’s Olympia Solar Tour of Homes, you’re sure to be inspired by how folks are using solar in our rainy neck of the woods!
