We couldn't be more excited! The Heron Haus, our Port Townsend Passive project is in the framing stage and speeding along towards completion. Much like our growing presence in Seattle, our Port Townsend work is establishing The Artisans Group as a regional firm in the Olympia, Seattle, and Portland area, specializing in the design and construction of Passive Houses.
The Heron Haus design is taking shape, and the drama of the concrete spine that runs through the house, thermally broken at the walls of course, is quite stunning. This Passive House will be an industrial and modern gem, with it low sloped roofs, ample glass and exposed concrete floors. Although modestly sized, tall ceilings and a large open kitchen, give a spacious effect. Check out our progress!
