Open House

A Completely Redesigned Mid-Century Raised Ranch Home

10am-6pm

MAP & DIRECTIONS

We worked closely with our client (a local MCM expert) on extensive design updates for a modern take on this classic 1963 Bennet & Johnson Mid-Century Modern home.  Recognizing its underlying quality and good bones, our client sought us out to release the home's potential.

In order to fix years of piecemeal projects, develop an improved visual flow and create a space that would also perform better for its growing family we completely redesigned the floor plan.

Combined with the construction expertise of their general contractor, Field Assembly, extensive energy efficiency upgrades throughout the house and an applied consistent aesthetic, this home is now a modern treasure.

Come visit this stunning example of what can be done to contemporize an existing home.

Artisans Group News

National Design Award! (and more!)

Professional Builder Magazine's annual national design awards were announced and...

Congratulations to our wonderful clients who steadfastly worked through the site's challenges with us and came out the other side with an incredible and sustainable home.  And an enormous thank you to our incredibly talented team of designers and all of the meticulous craftspeople we worked with on its construction.  This marks the second major national recognition for Delphi Passive House (2017 Best Single-Family Passive House) and it's a testament to the level of talent right here in the Pacific Northwest.

And more news:

  • Our transition to an Architecture & Design studio is complete and moving full steam ahead.  With multiple exciting commercial projects (we're itching to announce them!) and sustainable homes currently in design, we're busier than ever.
  • We are still taking on new clients, so if you're thinking about getting started on your project's design for next Summer's building season then you should definitely reach out before our line gets much longer.
  • National demand for our lead architect, Tessa Smith, and her insights on how sustainability and beautiful design can work together continues to grow and she will be presenting at two national Passive House conferences in the coming months.  She will be at the 13th Annual North American Passive House Conference in Boston (Sept. 19-23) and at the 18th Annual North American Passive House Network Conference in Pittsburgh (Oct. 17-21).  If you're looking to learn more about sustainability and Passive House building science, these conferences offer great opportunities to learn from the people who continue to push the boundaries of a better built world.

And that's a wrap!  We hope to see you all at the upcoming Tour of Homes.
